Paris Saint-Germain have denied rumors that they have decided to sign former Lille and Nice manager Christophe Galtier to replace Argentinean Mauricio Pochettino, who looks set to say goodbye to the Parisian club.

The sports newspaper L’Equipe and France Info radio claimed that Galtier agreed to Saint-Germain’s offer to take over the team, but a source close to the capital club said that “many discussions are going on” and therefore nothing has been decided. for now.

Despite his lead in reclaiming the local league title he won last season, led by Galtier among others, Pochettino appears set to leave the Parc des Princes as a contract he signed in January 2021 12 months left.

L’Equipe reported that Pochettino and the club would agree on the Argentine’s departure from the French capital.

And if Galtier moves to Saint-Germain, he will again meet with the Portuguese Luis Campos, who recently received the assignment of a sports adviser at the capital club, replacing the Brazilian Leonardo, who was dismissed from his post.

Campos was the sporting director on the night of 2017 to 2020, when Galtier was the team’s coach.

Earlier this month, French media speculated about the possibility of Saint-Germain signing his compatriot, former Real Madrid coach and star Zinedine Zidane, as part of the Qatari administration’s efforts to win the Champions League title, which the 1998 world champion won three times. times in a row with Real Madrid between 2016 and 2018.
