Russia’s Unemployment Rate Reaches Record Low

Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Tatyana Golikova said that the unemployment rate in Russia in April last year recorded a new historical low of 3.3%.

Golikova stated at the government meeting of the joint working group on the labor market that “the unemployment rate according to the methodology of the International Labor Organization in April 2023 recorded a historical minimum of 3.3%, since the number of unemployed registered in the Employment Centers covered 523 thousand people, which is 41 thousand less.

Golikova added that “the database of vacancies on the Delovaya Rossiya portal includes more than 1.8 million vacancies for job seekers.”

The participants of the meeting of the working group discussed issues related to the holding of the All-Russian Job Fair on June 23, 2023.
