Russia’s international reserves increased by about $17 billion

Russia’s international reserves increased by $16.7 billion over the week to $568.8 billion, according to a CBR statement released today.

“The volume of international reserves as of November 18, 2022 amounted to $568.8 billion, after which it increased over the week by $16.7 billion, or 3%, under the influence of a positive revaluation,” the report says.

In 2021, Russia’s gold and foreign exchange reserves increased by 5.9% and by January 1 this year (2022) reached $630.6 billion.

Russia’s international reserves are highly liquid foreign assets, including foreign exchange, gold and special drawing rights.
