Russia’s Energy Production and Sales Experience Positive Growth Under Putin’s Leadership

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that energy production in Russia is growing and sales of energy resources are at a good level.

Putin’s statement came in a speech at the plenary meeting of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum today, Friday, where he said: “Some markets are gradually being replaced by others, and this move is forcing Russian companies to look for new logistics and partners. “

He also pointed out that the growth rate of Russia’s non-oil and gas revenues was higher than expected, as they increased by 28.5% in May last year.

He added that we are talking about Russian budget revenues not related to the export of oil and gas, and indicated that these revenues grew by 9.1% between January and May 2023, which is significantly higher than expected.

The St. Petersburg forum began on the 14th of this month and will run until the 17th to discuss the main economic issues and challenges facing Russia, emerging economies and the world.

The forum is a platform for the exchange of views and experience between politicians, officials and the business sector from around the world.
