The press service of the Ministry of Transport of Russia reported that the ministry is studying all the possibilities of servicing aircraft in Russia and maintaining their airworthiness.
Bloomberg reported on Friday that Airbus had previously raised concerns about the safety of its aircraft in Russia.
The press service noted that “Russia has taken measures to quickly mitigate the consequences of sanctions pressure, and the transfer and registration of foreign aircraft in the Russian register has been ensured.”
The report says: “The maintenance of airworthiness and flight safety is highly regulated, and Russia today has all the capabilities and qualifications to maintain and maintain the airworthiness of aircraft.”
The Department of Transport notes that the country has a sufficient number of institutions that have the necessary amount of resources and qualified personnel capable of dealing with repairs of varying complexity.
“Work is also underway to expand the range of suppliers of aircraft parts, which will ensure the extension of the reliable operation of the Russian Airlines fleet, solve the personnel problem and reduce aircraft maintenance costs,” the ministry said.
At the same time, ensuring flight safety remains the main criterion that the Department of Transport is guided by when developing new proposals for improving aviation legislation and adapting it to modern realities.
