Daniil Medvedev, 26, retains the top spot in the ATP rankings for an 11th straight week with 6,885 points, ahead of German runner-up Alexander Zverev with 5,760 points, who will be out of the US Open due to injury, Spanish star Rafael. Nadal with 5630 points and his compatriot Rising star Carlos Alcaraz (5100 points).

Medvedev will kick off his US Open title campaign with a seemingly easy matchup against homeowner Stefan Kozlov, but big hurdles await him in his quest for a second Grand Slam title, including a possible showdown with the brilliant Australian Nick. The sixth racket of the world Novak Djokovic and the second racket of the world Alexander Zverev will miss the US Open.
