A spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry said that Moscow is concerned about the renewed escalation of violence in the zone of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and calls on both sides to exercise maximum restraint.

Zakharova pointed out that on August 9, Israeli security forces carried out another raid on the city of Nablus on the West Bank of the Jordan River in order to eliminate elements of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Fatah movement. , and the operation sparked massive protests in several West Bank cities and clashes between Arab residents and Israeli security forces.

She stated: “Moscow is deeply concerned about the new escalation of violence in the zone of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Calls on all parties concerned to exercise maximum restraint and not take measures that would violate the ceasefire agreement reached in August. 7 this year between combatants in the Gaza Strip and the Israeli army.
