Russian Foreign Ministry considers Zelensky’s position on negotiations with Russia "wrong and condemned"

Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Sergei Vershinin said that the position of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on refusing to negotiate with Russia is “wrong and should be condemned.”

Vershinin said: “I think this is a completely wrong and reprehensible position, because we talked about readiness for negotiations. There were negotiations, the last round was held in Istanbul. It was stopped due to the fault of the Ukrainian side.”

Earlier, Zelensky signed a decree on the implementation of the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine on the impossibility of holding negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov yesterday, Tuesday, commented in a press statement on Kyiv’s refusal to negotiate with Moscow and said that any negotiations require two sides, so we will wait for a change in position of the current Ukrainian president or his successor. .
