Russian engineering troops declare clearing 3.7 thousand hectares of Luhansk and Donetsk lands

The head of the National Defense Monitoring Center of Russia, Mikhail Mezintsev, said that Russian engineering troops cleared more than 3.7 thousand hectares of land in the Donetsk and Luhansk republics from mines.

“The sapper units of the RF Armed Forces and the Russian Emergencies Ministry are carrying out tasks to clear the territories of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics from explosive objects. 3,725.93 hectares of land have been surveyed,” Mezintsev said.

He added that 35 buildings, two bridges and about 10 kilometers of roads were inspected. More than 46,000 explosive ordnances were found and defused.
