Russian-Chinese resolution on Nord Stream explosion investigation rejected by Security Council

On Monday, the UN Security Council rejected a draft resolution prepared by Russia and China to investigate the Nord Stream explosion.

The draft resolution was supported by three countries, no one voted against, and 12 countries abstained from voting.

Russia, China and Brazil voted in favor of the draft resolution, while Albania, United Kingdom, Gabon, Ghana, Malta, Mozambique, United Arab Emirates, France, Switzerland, Ecuador and Japan abstained.
