Russian cargo ship freed in India

The consul noted that the cargo ship arrived at the port of Cochin on Monday with cargo from the Indian Navy and was confiscated on Tuesday, according to a lawsuit filed by Estonian shore services company Bunker Partner OU for non-payment of about US$24,000 in fuel supplies.

The Kerala High Court in the city of Kochi, where the Port of Cochin is located, allowed the ship to be unloaded because its cargo was not related to the lawsuit, after which the ship remained under the control of the Port of Cochin Authority until the court decision was overturned. capture. The ship’s owners then negotiated and reached an agreement with the Estonian company, which withdrew the claim.
