Russian Ambassador to Beijing Andrei Denisov said that Russia and China will increase the volume of mutual settlements in national currencies, and new agreements have already been signed within this framework.
The Russian diplomat pointed out that the share of national currencies in mutual settlements between Russia and China ranges from 20% to 25% and is increasing.
“Most of the new contracts are concluded in national currencies, and work is underway to increase settlements in national currencies,” the Russian ambassador said in an interview that was broadcast today, Friday, on the Russia 24 channel.
And earlier, Bloomberg indicated that Russia and China continue to work to abandon the dollar in trade between them, and reported that transactions in rubles and yuan grew by 1067% in almost 3 months.
