Russia ranks third in the world in terms of the use of the yuan

Last July, Russia ranked third among countries and regions using the Chinese yuan in international payments, according to a report by the US newspaper Forbes, citing SWIFT data.

Forbes reported that over the past three months, Russia has increased its share of the global yuan market by 6.3 times, in just these three months.

According to Swift’s financial transaction data, Russia acquired 3.9% of yuan transactions in July last year, up from 1.42% in June, while the UK posted a higher figure at 6.35%.

Hong Kong continues to top the list, with its share of renminbi transactions reaching 70.93% in July, up from 73.82% recorded in June 2022.

After Russia in the Swift rating, establishments are followed by Singapore (3.77%) and then the United States (2.98%).
