The Russian Foreign Ministry said that Russia will issue unified electronic visas to citizens of 52 foreign countries.
“Currently, work is underway to update consular information systems and a specialized website of the Russian Foreign Ministry for issuing unified electronic visas to foreign citizens in order to ensure their effective protection against unprecedentedly massive DDoS attacks,” the ministry said in a statement.
The statement states that these works are planned to be completed by the end of this year, after which the country’s leadership will be presented with proposals for the practical launch of a system for issuing unified electronic visas to citizens of 52 foreign countries.
