Russia has evacuated more than two million people from the war zone in Ukraine

Mikhail Mizintsev, head of Russia’s National Defense Monitoring Center, said Russian troops have evacuated more than two million people from dangerous conflict zones in Ukraine and the Donbass republics.

Mizintsev noted that over the past day, without the participation of Kyiv, 21,947 people, including 3,826 children, were evacuated to Russia from dangerous regions of Ukraine and the republics of Donbass.

He said: “The total number of evacuees since the beginning of the military operation has reached 20,002,773 people, including 318,144 children.”

He added that the Russian side has provided more than 9,500 shelters for Ukrainian refugees in Russia, providing them with medical and psychological assistance, providing them with financial assistance and offering them vacancies.
