Russia continues to accumulate gold and currency

CBR data showed today, Thursday, that Russia’s international reserves increased from July 29 to August 5 this year. by 0.6% to $574.8 billion.

According to the Russian Center, as of July 29, 2022, the reserves were at the level of $571.2 billion, and as of August 5, 2022, the reserves were at the level of $574.8 billion.

This means that reserves increased by $3.6 billion (0.6%) over the period.

Russian reserves reached their maximum level on February 18, 2022, when they amounted to $643.2 billion.

Russia’s international reserves are highly liquid foreign assets, including foreign exchange, gold and special drawing rights.
