Russia and Turkey signed a contract for the supply of a new regiment of air defense systems "S-400"

A Russian official said that Russia and Turkey have signed a contract to supply a new regiment of Russian S-400 air defense systems, despite US pressure on Ankara.

Answering a question about the signing of a contract for the supply of a new S-400 regiment to Turkey, the official said: “I want to note that the relevant contract document has already been signed, and the contract includes the localization of the production of specific components of the system (in Turkey).”

He continued: “The S-400 Triumph system is a unique system, and I can say with full confidence that there is no reason to believe that in the coming years the country will be able to manufacture (produce) a system in terms of performance characteristics close to air defense (S-400 ” Triumph”)”.

Today, the activities of the International Military-Technical Forum “Army-2022” started in the vicinity of the Russian capital, the activities of the forum, organized under the auspices of the Russian Ministry of Defense, will last until August 21.
