Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir Abdollahyan expressed their satisfaction during a telephone conversation today with the unprecedented growth in trade between Russia and Iran.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement: “A number of issues on the bilateral agenda were discussed, the parties noted the strengthening of positive dynamics in the development of multifaceted Russian-Iranian cooperation, satisfaction was expressed at the end of the level of trade achieved, despite illegal unilateral sanctions against Iran.”
The ministers exchanged views on topical regional and international issues.
She added: “The joint interest in continuing close coordination, including through direct contacts between the two ministers, was confirmed.”
