Ruble Reaches One-Month High Against US Dollar

The Russian ruble rose against major currencies today, Thursday, with the dollar trading below 78 rubles and the euro below 86 rubles for the first time since April 3 last year.

By 15:58 Moscow time, the dollar exchange rate fell by 1.25 kopecks (ruble = 100 kopecks) to 77.97 rubles.

At the same time, the euro fell by 1.77 rubles to 85.95 rubles, and the Chinese currency – by 20 kopecks to 11.25 rubles, according to the Moscow Exchange.
