Rogerio Michale: I will include Mohamed Salah in the Egyptian team for the Paris Olympics

Brazil’s Rogerio Mycale, the new coach of Egypt’s Olympic team, has expressed his desire to include Liverpool star Mohamed Salah in the Egyptian national team if the Pharaohs make it to the Paris 2024 Olympics.

During his speech to the media yesterday as the new coach of the Egyptian Olympic team, Mycale responded to a reporter’s question about the possibility of Salah joining the Egyptian team at the Paris Olympics, saying: “Any coach in the world would like Salah to be with him. it can be difficult to get players of this value in the Olympics. Arrangements are complicated due to my previous experience in the Olympics, but of course I want to use the services of Salah.”

He added: “I feel like I’m in Brazil, before the 2016 Olympics the question was, will you include Neymar?.. Now of course Mohamed Salah is a great player with experience and I will include him with us. “

And Mycale continued: “But calling Mohamed Salah is not easy, it should be a good coordination of his presence, as it is difficult to use big players in light of the commitment of their clubs.”

The Egyptian national team is currently preparing for the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers expected to take place in Morocco next year, qualifying for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

It is worth noting that the Olympic football teams include players under the age of 23, but the International Olympic Committee allows three players over this age to participate in the Olympic Games.
