Revealing the team backed by Liz Terrace, the new UK prime minister

New British Prime Minister Liz Truss has revealed that she is a football fan and named the team she supports among English clubs.

During a previous Conservative Party meeting, Truss admitted to being a fan of Norwich City, who were relegated from the English Premier League to the Championship Division One last season in 2021-22.

And the British Sports Bible website highlighted Terrace’s statements in which she said: “I lived in Yorkshire and was a Leeds fan, and since then I moved to Norfolk and became a Norwich City fan.”

She added: “What can I say about this club, it’s a great family club and Delia Smith (owner of Norwich City) is a great woman too.”

This statement was met with boos from those in attendance at the event, especially as she previously claimed to be a fan of the Leeds club, which belongs to the Yorkshire region in which she was born.

And Terrace previously published a photo of her through her official Twitter account, in which she appeared from the stands of the Karo Road stadium and tied a yellow-green scarf around her neck.

In a tweet, Terrace voiced support for the return of “safe parking” in the stands, which was banned by a law passed after the 1989 Hillsborough disaster that killed 97 Liverpool fans.

And the chairman of the English club that participated in the Champions League last season 2021-2022 urged them not to participate in the final match if any of them come because of their stay in Russia.

Thrace’s position, due to his opposition to the Russian military operation in Ukraine, came to the UEFA European Football Association, after which it was decided to move the final to Paris.

British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss won the Conservative Party leadership last Monday to lead the new UK government, succeeding Boris Johnson.
