The Moroccan media reported that the local football federation fired the Bosnian Vahid Halilhodzic from the post of head of the technical department of the Atlas Lions.

Media 90 reported, citing an informed source, that Khalilhodzic received word of his dismissal today, Wednesday, from Moroccan Federation Treasurer Jalal Ainoush, pending the completion of the separation process from him following the return of Federation President Fawzi Lekji from Tanzania. , where he is present as a member of the executive apparatus of the African Confederation of Football (CAF).

Halilhodzic has been in charge of training for the Morocco national team since 2019 and led them to the Qatar 2022 World Cup final, but the Bosnian coach has been heavily criticized in recent times due to fluctuations in the level of the team and his disagreements with the Atlas Lions’ most prominent players. most notably by Chelsea playmaker Hakim Ziyech.
