Report: Germany supplied Ukraine with military equipment worth 686 million euros

The German government said that this year it managed to approve the supply of military equipment to Ukraine in the amount of about 5.1 billion euros, while Kyiv received equipment worth 686 million euros.

According to a report on arms exports released today Wednesday by the German Ministry of Economy and Climate Protection, Ukraine has become the most important recipient of German weapons among the so-called “third countries”, that is, countries that are not members of NATO and are not considered partners of the Alliance. The share of Ukraine in the export of military equipment from Germany to “third countries” this year is 56 percent.

The report says that in the same period last year, Germany exported arms worth 2.9 billion euros.
