French sports newspaper L’Equipe reported Friday that Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford.
The newspaper reported that the sports director of the metropolitan team, Luis Campos, met with the business manager of the 24-year-old player.
Rashford’s contract with Manchester United expires on 30 June 2023, but the Red Devils have the right to extend it for another year, knowing that the English player has recently declared his desire to remain in the ranks of United, to which he belongs. .
Rashford’s level declined last season, leading to his expulsion from the England squad.
And Saint-Germain coach Christophe Galtier hinted at a press conference yesterday Thursday that his team intends to sign a new striker, especially after the transfer of Arno Calimuindo to Rennes, and the possibility of an unwanted departure of Argentine Mauro Icardi.
“We hope that another striker will appear, especially with the busy schedule until November 15 and the World Cup final,” Galtier said.
On the other hand, it will not be easy for Manchester United to turn down Rashford, especially since the club is looking to sign a striker or two in the event of the departure of their Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo.
