Reasons for Moroccan Rajah’s Defeat against Egyptian Al-Ahli Revealed by Coach

The coach of the Moroccan raja, Tunisian Mondher Al-Kabir, revealed the reasons for the defeat of his team by Al-Ahli from Egypt with a clean double in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the African Champions League yesterday, Saturday.

Al-Kabir said in a post-match press conference that his team paid a high price for the mistakes they made and Al-Ahly took advantage of this through the experience of his players despite a good start, explaining that his players were not a failure.

The Tunisian coach pointed out that his team dominated the first half and were more dangerous, but a goal was missing when Al Ahly scored in the first half and added a second goal in the second due to lack of concentration.

Asked about his future in light of the loss to Al Ahly and the Raja’s declining results in the Moroccan League Championship, Al Kabir sarcastically replied: “If Al Ahly lost today (yesterday), would his coach’s future suffer? »

The Raja’s coach also refused to give up, stressing that his team would fight to keep their chances in the second leg.

Al Raja will host Al Ahly Club a week later in Casablanca in the second leg to determine who advances to the semi-finals.
