Real Madrid clinches 20th Spanish Cup title with Rodrigo’s commanding performance against Osasuna.

Brazilian striker Rodrigo led Real Madrid to a 2-1 win over Osasuna on Saturday night in the Copa del Rey final.

Real Madrid opened the scoring thanks to Rodrigo in the second minute and Lucas Toro equalized for Osasuna (58) before Rodrigo added a second close-range shot that hit the net (70) and gave his team the title.

Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti’s men have come to the end of a lean period that lasted 9 years, especially after their last competitive title in 2014.

Real Madrid have won their 20th Copa del Rey title, compensating their fans for failing to retain the Spanish league title, which is close to rivals Barcelona.

Real Madrid have an opportunity to retain the title in the Champions League, where they will face Manchester City in the semi-finals.
