Qatar introduces a large financial fine for violators of the sale of tickets for the World Cup

The Qatari authorities have announced a fine of up to $70,000 for anyone selling tickets for the World Cup matches to be held in Qatar later this year without an International Football Association license.

And Qatar’s Ministry of Justice posted on its Twitter account on Wednesday a tweet attached to an explanatory video saying: “The law punishes with a fine of no more than 250,000 rials for anyone who issues, sells, resells or exchanges tickets without a FIFA license.” .

She pointed out that this fine was imposed on the basis of the “Act No. (10) of 2021 on measures for the holding of the World Cup”, which is expected from November 21 to December 18.

In May, Qatari authorities made arrests for selling counterfeit products related to the World Cup.
