Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, proposed joining forces to help traditional partners get the necessary amount of fertilizer.
“As for fertilizers, of course, we need to join forces to help our traditional partners,” Putin said.
Lukashenka, in turn, noted that Belarus produces half of the fertilizers with Russia.
Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, has previously said Russia is ready to supply fertilizer, but sanctions are hampering that case, and Kyiv’s own actions are hampering Ukrainian grain exports.
