Putin praises the General Secretary "OPEC" Condolences on his death

Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a telegram of condolences to Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari on the death of OPEC Secretary General Muhammad Barkindo, praising Barkindo’s personal contribution to the creation of the OPEC+ interaction mechanism.

Barkindo died Tuesday evening in Nigeria at the age of 63. Barkindo served as Secretary General of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries for 6 years and participated in the creation of the OPEC+ agreement in 2016.
