Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences to King Charles III of Great Britain and Queen Elizabeth II.
In a statement, the Kremlin said: “The most important events in the recent history of Britain are closely connected with the name of Queen Elizabeth II. For many decades, she enjoyed the right to love and respect her subjects, as well as the prestige she received in the international arena. I wish you courage and perseverance in this disaster.”
Buckingham Palace has announced the death of Queen Elizabeth II at the age of 96 at Balmoral Palace in Scotland.
