Putin Confident Crimean Bridge Repair Will Finish On Time

Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed confidence that the workers repairing the Crimean bridge after the terrorist attack last October would be completed on time.

Putin said at a meeting on the socio-economic development of Crimea and Sevastopol: “Over the past years, hundreds of important facilities for various purposes have been created and put into operation, including support centers and centers for the development of the entire transport infrastructure on the peninsula. I mean Simferopol airport, the Tavrida Al road – Faris Al-Hadith, and of course the Crimean Bridge … its restoration after the terrorist attack continues, and I am sure that the work will be completed on time.

The President of Russia pointed out that traffic on the bridge is already open, work is underway to repair the tracks.

And on March 18, 2014, Russian President Vladimir Putin, the leadership of Crimea and the mayor of Sevastopol signed an agreement on the entry of the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol into Russia.

According to the accession treaty, all residents of Crimea will be recognized as Russian citizens unless they submit an application that they want to renounce their Ukrainian citizenship.
