Protestors Take Over World’s Largest Investment Fund Headquarters in Paris

Demonstrators against pension reform in France today, Thursday, stormed a building in the center of the capital, Paris, which houses the office of investment company BlackRock, the world’s largest asset management company.

Media reported that dozens of union activists critical of the massive pension reform launched by French President Emmanuel Macron briefly took over the building.

She pointed out that the demonstrators chanted anti-pension slogans, set off fireworks and smoke bombs, and shouted “We are here” in the lobby of the building, which symbolizes the revolution and banks, as it includes many financial companies.

In France, for some time now, there has been a wave of protests against the reform of the unpopular pension system in the country.
