Spanish newspaper AS shed some light on the expected line-up of Real Madrid and Manchester City ahead of their summit tonight, Wednesday, in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final at Al Ittihad Stadium.
A Spanish newspaper reported that Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti could repeat the same formation he played in the first leg, although the team did not achieve a victory, but he showed an outstanding performance and was close to winning.
And the first match, which took place in the citadel of Beze, “Santiago Bernabeu”, ended in a positive draw, with a goal.
The newspaper added: “Rüdiger is expected to play today, who started in place of Militao and played the lead against Haaland, but the problem is who is excluded from Militao or Alaba?”
It was clear in the response from the Spanish newspaper that it was Militao, since I expected the formation to be as follows:
Goalkeeper: Thibaut Courtois.
Defensive line: Carvajal, Rudiger, Alaba and Camavinga.
Midfield: Kroos, Modric, Valverde.
Attack line: Vinicius, Rodrigo and Benzema.
On the other hand, Manchester City’s expected line-up was as follows:
Goalkeeper: Ederson.
Defensive line: Walker, Diaz and Akanji.
Midfield: Rodri, Stones, Gundogan, Bernardo Silva, De Bruyne, Grealish.
Attack line: Haaland.
