And Sabq reported that the crown prince’s project to develop historic Jeddah consists of 600 historic archaeological structures in an area of 2.5 square kilometers.
And “earlier” it was stated that in this area there are mosques of the era of the Righteous Caliph Omar bin Al-Khattab and the Righteous Caliph Osman bin Affan, built of stone, clay and wood, as well as a project to restore buildings and other infrastructure improvements.
Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s project includes two projects for a cultural arena and the return of water to the old port opposite Bab al-Bunt, as well as a sea taxi project linking historic Jeddah with northern Jeddah across the river, Sabq reported.
