Poll: Two-thirds of Americans think the economy is getting worse

A joint poll by Ipsos and the American channel ABC News showed that about 70% of Americans believe that the status quo in the economy is deteriorating.

The channel reported that more than two-thirds of Americans (69%) believe that the economic situation in the country is deteriorating.

This is the highest figure since 2008, when 82% of respondents thought so.

On the contrary, 12% of respondents consider the economic situation to be improving, and 18% consider it to be stable.

The survey was conducted on August 5-6 in English and Spanish, and 665 people took part in it.

And US government reports confirmed that jobless claims in the United States of America increased by 4,000 in the last week.

U.S. jobless claims rose by 4,000 last week after barely reversing at 230,000 for four consecutive weeks, according to official data released by the US Department of Labor, which was posted on its Twitter account.

The ministry said last week the number of jobless claims was 235,000, after round-trip claims were around 1,000 or less than 230,000 in the previous four weeks.
