Poll: Terrace retains its lead in the race for the post of head of the British government

An opinion poll released today Thursday showed British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss still far ahead of her rival Rishi Sunak in the race for prime minister and the Conservative Party.

A YouGov poll for Sky News showed Trass, who consistently leads the Conservative Party in opinion polls, leads Sunak by 32 percentage points. She was supported by 66% of the members of the Conservative Party, while Sonam was supported by 34%.

The poll showed that only 13% of members had not decided how they would vote, or would not vote at all.

Notably, members of the ruling Conservative Party will vote by mail to elect a new leader of the party after Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced his resignation last July after a series of scandals. The winner will be announced on September 5th.
