Politico writes based on a search warrant for Trump’s property that the FBI is investigating former US President Donald Trump for possible violations of the Espionage Act, and if proven, this could lead to jail time.
According to the document, the FBI is “investigating Trump for deletion or destruction of records, obstruction of an investigation, and violation of the Espionage Act.” Being found guilty of these violations can result in a prison sentence or a fine.
One of the documents attached to the search warrant at Trump’s Florida property says he had documents marked “TS/SCI” (Top Secret/Confidential Information), indicating the highest level of secrecy. Another document allegedly contained “statements about the President of France”.
