“The report is a detailed two-sided roadmap aimed at building 6 large-scale reactors based on American technology,” said former Polish Climate Minister Anna Moskova after meeting with US Ambassador to Poland Mark Brzezinski and a local representative of the US Westinghouse Electric Company.
“This is more than a commercial proposal, it reflects 18 months of work and millions of dollars spent on analysis and evaluation,” she added.
Former Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki confirmed that his country “wanted to accelerate the construction of the first nuclear power plant” in the country.
The construction of the first nuclear power plant will begin in 2026, while the first reactor will operate, and the remaining units will be implemented within two to three years.
The investment required to build nuclear power plants is estimated at $32 billion.
