Poland and Israel return ambassadors to Warsaw and Tel Aviv

Polish President Andrzej Duda said that Poland and Israel have begun the process of normalizing diplomatic relations between the two countries, returning the ambassadors of the two countries to their places.

The Polish President added: “We agreed with President Isaac Herzog that it is time to return to normal relations. The first step has been taken. Israeli Ambassador Yakov Livni presented his credentials today. President Herzog has asked me to return the Polish ambassador to Israel.”

In August 2021, Israel withdrew its ambassador to Warsaw amid Polish President Andrzej Duda’s approval of the “Property (for Jews) Law” opposed by Tel Aviv.
