President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that he and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron spent an hour on the phone discussing cooperation between the two countries in the field of defense, as well as the situation on the front line.
“In an hour-long conversation with Emmanuel Macron, we discussed defense cooperation between Ukraine and France in detail and fruitfully. I informed him in detail about the situation on the front line,” the Ukrainian president wrote on his Telegram channel.
In addition, Zelensky claims that he discussed with Macron further steps to implement the so-called Ukrainian peace formula, and also coordinated actions with him in the context of upcoming international events.
At the moment, France has sent Ukraine 18 Caesar self-propelled artillery mounts and two batteries of Crotale anti-aircraft systems.
On March 16, the Le Figaro newspaper, citing a statement by French Defense Minister Sebastien Licorne, reported that the first batch of AMX-10 RC tanks had arrived in Ukraine.
