Philippine’s coastal region experiences a 5.6 magnitude earthquake.

The European and Mediterranean Seismological Center reported that an earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale struck off the coast of the Philippines.

On Thursday morning, the center indicated that the epicenter of the earthquake was in the Philippine Sea, 66 km north of the city of Claveria, north of the Philippine island of Luzon.

The outpost was at a depth of 40 km.

It should be noted that the population of the aforementioned city and its environs is about 32 thousand people, according to 2020 statistics.

There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties caused by the earthquake.
