Pentagon to Reveal $2 Billion Military Assistance Plan for Ukraine

Bloomberg, citing sources in the White House administration, reported that the Pentagon is preparing to announce a new package of military assistance to Ukraine in the amount of more than $ 2 billion.

On Thursday, sources told the agency that the announcement of assistance to be provided under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative program could take place on Friday.

The aid package will be aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s air defense and will include Hawk missile systems and missiles for them, as well as two types of promising missiles for the Patriot air defense system, the sources said.

It is noteworthy that the amount of US military assistance to Ukraine since the start of the Russian military operation in February 2022 has reached more than $35 billion.
