Patrushev: it is important to deepen Russian-Chinese coordination in the international arena to counter global fluctuations

Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev stressed today, Tuesday, that the deepening of Russian-Chinese cooperation in the international arena is of particular importance, especially in the context of global fluctuations.

“In the context of the campaign launched by the collective West to double contain Russia and China, the deepening of Russian-Chinese coordination and interaction in the international arena is of particular importance,” Patrushev said at a meeting with Wang Yi, a member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee.

He described the relationship between Russia and China as valuable in itself and not dependent on external circumstances.

Wang Yi arrived in Moscow on Tuesday, and the Russian Foreign Ministry said Minister Sergei Lavrov would meet with Wang Yi on Wednesday.

According to Bloomberg, Chinese State Councilor Wang Yi has put forward a new peace proposal to end the conflict in Ukraine.

Earlier, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov did not rule out a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Wang Yi during his visit to Moscow.
