Paris’ Saint Germain Implements Security Measures to Safeguard Messi and Neymar

Paris Saint-Germain has stepped up security in front of its Paris training headquarters and players’ homes after being the target of hostile language from club fans such as Lionel Messi, Neymar and Italy’s Marco Ferrari.

Hundreds of fans and “ultras” of the French capital club yesterday, Wednesday, held a demonstration in front of the club’s headquarters to express their dissatisfaction with the state of affairs and the deteriorating results of the team.

“We are tired of mercenaries! Messi should be fired! (Katari) Nasser (Al-Khelaifi, club president) should be fired, the fans chanted, “resignation, management” and “Paris is us.”

Some fans carried smoke bombs, especially Messi, Neymar, Verratti and coach Christophe Galtier, and held up banners urging players to “wet your shirt” outside the club’s headquarters.

About 100 fans dressed in black shirts gathered in front of the house of Neymar, who is absent from the stadiums until the end of the current season due to injury, in Bougival (Yvelines), chanting insulting slogans “Neymar, go away.”

The demonstrators dispersed “quietly, a few minutes after their arrival”, without “the desire to confront the police”.

Against the backdrop of these developments, Qatari side Saint-Germain have taken measures to increase their defense, especially with the increased presence of security guards in the team’s training center and in front of the homes of Neymar, Messi and Verratti, “all targets”. with hostile cries, Agence France-Presse reports.

And the Paris Club reacted in a statement released on Wednesday evening: “Paris Saint-Germain condemns in the strongest possible terms the intolerable and offensive behavior of a small group of individuals that took place this Wednesday.”

He continued, “Whatever the differences, nothing can justify such actions. The club offers its full support to its players, management and all those involved in this shameful behavior.”
