On the Moscow Exchange, the dollar and the euro are in the red

The exchange rate of the US and European currencies fell against the Russian currency today, Tuesday, as the Russian ruble rose sharply despite Western sanctions imposed on Moscow.

By 10:48 Moscow time, the dollar exchange rate fell by 16 kopecks (the ruble = 100 kopecks) to 53.20 rubles.

The euro fell by 21 kopecks to 56.08 rubles, according to the Moscow Exchange.

In the conditions of exchange trading, the index of the Moscow Exchange in rubles, the MICEX fell by 0.70% to 2400.10 points, and the index of the Moscow Exchange in dollars fell by 0.39% to 1422.53 points.
