Officially.. Mesut Ozil has signed a new club (photo)

The Turkish team Istanbul Basaksehir on Thursday morning introduced to the media and fans their German star Mesut Ozil, who left Fenerbahce after the termination of the contract by mutual agreement of the two parties.

Bassehir released a statement on their official website stating: “Our president attended the signing ceremony for a successful player. We welcome Mesut Ozil to our family and wish him well in our orange and blue jersey.”

Turkish team Istanbul Basaksehir have officially announced the inclusion of German Fenerbahce player Mesut Ozil in a free transfer deal where the star will appear with the team wearing number 10.

Özil reached an agreement with Basaksehir, who finished fourth in the Turkish league last season, hours after Fenerbahce’s contract was terminated.

And the Spanish newspaper AS reported that the former Real Madrid star had signed a one-year contract with Basaksehir, with the possibility of an automatic renewal for another season.

Fenerbahce decided to terminate the contract with Mesut Ozil, as he completely dropped out of the coaching accounts, knowing that he spent a year and a half in the Turkish team, and played 37 games in various tournaments, during which he scored 9 goals.
