Spanish football champions Real Madrid announced Tuesday that they have reached an agreement to sign Japanese player Takefusa Kubo to Real Sociedad.
Real Madrid said in a statement: “Real Madrid and Real Sociedad have reached an agreement on the transfer of player Taki Kubo. Our club thanks him for his work and dedication during his time at Real Madrid. Real Madrid wish him and his family all the best. the best in this new phase of his life.”

Kubo has not appeared in any official match against Real Madrid since joining the Royal team in 2019, and he was pleased with the participation during the preparation period in the summer of that year.
Kubo, 21, has played for Mallorca, Villarreal and Getafe on loan, and was recently sold to Real Sociedad, where he will wear the number 14 shirt, becoming the first Japanese to defend the Basque team colors.

Kubo entered the history of major European leagues through the widest doors as the youngest Japanese player to score a goal in the Spanish league, at the age of 18 years and 159 days, wearing a Real Mallorca shirt on loan. in November 2019.
Kubo joined Real Madrid during the 2019 summer transfer period from Japanese club Tokyo in a deal worth two million euros and during the same Mercato he joined Real Mallorca on a one-year loan until 30 June 2020 .
It is noteworthy that Takefusa Kubo, nicknamed the “Messi of Japan”, spent 4 years at Barcelona’s La Masia Academy between (2011 and 2015), and the fans of the Catalan team pinned hopes on him to become the successor to the Argentine star. Lionel Messi, the former captain of the Blaugrana, after the end of his football career, the Japanese moved into the ranks of the traditional rivals of Real Madrid.
