Official.. Paris Saint-Germain announce signing of Mukiele

French champions Paris Saint-Germain announced on Tuesday a five-year contract until 2027 with French international defender Nordi Mukile from Leipzig, Germany to strengthen his defensive line.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed, but press reports indicate that the cost ranges from 10 to 15 million euros.

Mokiele previously confirmed his departure from German Cup champions Leipzig in a video of him on social media.

“Leipzig fans, after four years of being together, our story has come to an end,” said the 24-year-old international.

Mokiele helped Leipzig finish second behind German champions in 2021 and win the cup last season as he shone on the European stage, reaching the semi-finals of the 2020 Champions League and the 2022 Europa League competition.

The arrival of Mokiele, who made his first steps at Paris before moving to Laval, Montpellier and then Leipzig in 2018, will allow the Qatari Parisian club to get additional decisions on the right arcade, where the Morocco national team plays Ashraf Hakimi.

Mokiele can also play in a three-man defense, the system favored by new Paris coach Christophe Galtier, who replaced Mauricio Pochettino.

Mukiele is the third player to join the French champions in this summer’s transfer market, after Portuguese midfielder Vytina from Porto and young French striker Hugo Eketiki (20) from Rennes.
