Minamino began his career at Japanese club Cerezo Osaka before heading to Europe, where he defended Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg from January 2015 before Liverpool secured his services in the winter transfer window in January 2020.
The Japanese star failed to establish himself in the ranks of Liverpool, so he was loaned to Southampton for a period of six months from February to June 2021 before returning to the Reds last season.
