Official..French Brest includes Moroccan Dari from Wydad

Brest, belonging to the French Ligue 1, announced today, Saturday, the signing of a four-year contract with Moroccan international defender Ashraf Dari, who comes from Wydad Casablanca, the African champion.

Brest, which finished eleventh in the French Championship last season, wrote on its official website: “Heavyweight reinforcements for coach Michel Der Zakarian’s team.”

The signing of the contract, which Moroccan newspapers valued at $3 million, was expected in recent weeks, but its implementation was delayed for administrative reasons due to a delay in obtaining a visa for the Moroccan defender to enter France.

23-year-old Dari is tall (1.88 m) and has the ability to fly.

Dari was selected as the best defender in the African Champions League last season and in 2019, 2021 and 2022 he won the Moroccan championship with his children’s team Vidad.

It is worth noting that the current squad of the Brest team also includes Algerians, striker Youssef Belaili and midfielder Harris Bekbella.
